Devlog 1.2: Day 7 Open For Business <Kinda, not really>


Welcome back everyone!

Before some dings me on the math, I took a day off!

Here we are at the end of Day 7 working on KartGolf! I think the total I have recorded is almost at 30hrs of work on the project so far (This weekend was a lot).

What do I have to show for all seven days and almost 30hrs? There's almost 4 minutes of gameplay footage below! That's what. so check it out.


What's working?

The game has an opening menu, and the first 3 levels are very playable. There is a Par or Score system and even a high score system. However it hasn't yet be set up to set a new par each course. Though that is planned. Overall it is still just a strong proof of concept. However I've already had some wacky moments that speak to the fun the game can be!

The levels are the Parking lot (1), Lobby (2), and Restaurant (3). I haven't yet decided what level will be next. Have some ideas? let me know!

Other features I'm working on, The "powers' system like boost. Achievements, (destroy the golf balls, collect the trophies, get stuck in the freezer). I am also planning some fine tuning of the "Launching" system for the Kart it is ... clunky to say the least. 

Overall the game has been a blast to make! I cant wait to get the rest completed! 10 levels to go.
